Anyway :augie :lol

Back to that picture I said I was going to get.

When the truck was in getting the alarm and imoboliser fitted, I got the electrician to do a modification.

One of the issues of these engines I'm led to believe, is that the glow plugs stay on for an insane amount of un-needed time resulting in the ceramic tips breaking off and going into the engine resulting in potential damage.

I've now got the glow plugs working manually with a push button so they are only on when I want them on.

This might just also work as a secondary security device as the truck wont start cold without it.

I had to keep on fixing this bumper. It was really not the best. Piss poor fitment with design problems that needed fixed.

If you look at a previous side on photo and zoom in, you can see that the bumper comes towards the rear wheels, goes past the silver arch towards the tyre and finishes in a straight line. It was completely the wrong shape and fitment, didn't look good at all, and was close to catching the tyre.

I got the ends reprofiled to the correct length and shape to follow the line of the silver arch. I'm so much happier with the shape now.

There was nothing to secure the Jerry cans in, so with the red truck setup working well I copied the hinged latch design and bracket and got that made so now I can lock the Jerry cans in place for a bit of security.
I can use a nut and bolt or a padlock

Another fault with the bumper was that the swing away arms had nothing to stop them.
If the tyre arm swings all the way round it hits the light, so if it goes round at pace it will be very easy to smash the rear lights :doh

I fitted some stops for the arms, you can see it sticking up on the corner.

And as you can see, I thought I quite fancied some flaps :augie sorry, couldn't help myself :lol

As this is mostly a road going truck I'm not worried about them but they are held on with 3 bolts and easily replaceable

Some great work there! The bumper looks spot on! :thumbs

I have some 4mm rubber ready to make some mud flaps too... But I need to keep it in the garage for a couple of years before it gets to go on the truck! :lol
