HI Guys,

just curious, whats the best way to test the clutch? I dont particularly have any problems with mine yet, but I am trying to think ahead as I am commiting myself to spending a fair amount of money on the mav, and I am aware the clutch is a big expense. I understand about letting the clutch out, in gear, should bite at somepoint low down, but unsure with these cars, any tips?

Old Test

Park car in garage facing forward and keep engine runing
Put foot on brake
Engage 1st gear and slowly let the clutch out

If the engine stalls the clutch works

If you en up driving through the end of the garage your brakes need sorting

This test is not recomnded. :D

mine bites quite high, very high in fact, but doesn't slip or owt....I'd be tempted to wait and let it wear out given how much it costs to replace :)
