Hello and a very happy new year

I need an engine for my T plate T2 2.7tdi. Any Ideas please let me know.

There are some links on the homepage, one of which goes to a 4x4 breakers, might be worth a try, there are usually always some T2's breaking on e-bay as well, been a 53 registered T2 recently.

What has been so terminal that you need a new engine?

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. (Perhaps it hasn't started too well for you Pete) Sorry about your misfortune.

Also sorry I can't help with your request but just wondered how come your engine "blew up". I have been told that they are almost bomb-proof. Obviously not completely.
Maybe there is a lesson to be learned .Don't wish to rub salt in the wound but would be interested to know more about the failure--cause of etc.
Good luck with your engine hunt Pete--hope all goes well.

Thanks for helping, It would seem that through overheating one of the pistons has dragged the liner and caused valve trouble too. There is exhaust in the cooling system and water in the block.

It has not been stripped entirely but to a point where my guy says get a new one.

Wow, that hurts anytime but now is even worse.

Hi Pete,
happy new year, if you look under my previous postings you will see I had a blown engine last year you could try breakeryard.com I got mine from here. A word of WARNING you must make sure that the new engine has the head with it and also make sure the injectors are the same size because depending on the engine num,ber the injectors are very different you are only in west London (ish) you should not have to much of a problem locating one. There is a place in Hatfield herts called power units in bury road they might be able to recon the unit look them up and give them a call.

best of luck ..........you could try a scrappy who scrapping one and buy the complete unit

A bit O/T but can any other nissan engines go in the terrano II ie 3.0l engines etc. Thinking of the more economic, powerful younger engines.
