Heaviest thing its going to carry is the spare wheel n tyre and a set of steps now and again bracket for the back rotted away n had wobble which was causing noise and to be honest seems to be alot of weight on the back door and the tyres being 31" might obstruct the view out the back window.

Just binned my rear carrier too, anything over 60mph and the friggin thing was just rattling around, so for now, till my rack is finished my spare is chucked in the boot.

What sort of bracket you using to mount the spare on the rack?

Spare in the back, hilift on the door, nothing on the roof. For offroading that is.
For overlanding then roof cage ofcourse.
Having been on my side before now and often right at the point of tip (no weight on wheels) nowt on roof for me ta :thumb2

was going to make a bracket for it not sure what yet though. will post ideas and pictures when i come up with something.
