Terrano R3mR auto tran fluid (ATF)?

Managed to loose my post so I will start again.

Anyone know the best aftermarket ATF for the Nissan Automatic Boxes.

The handbook shows Nissan Matic D but at around £18 a litre from the dealer its a bit pricey as I need 5 Litres.

Last year I used Fuchs Titan 4000 its a Dexron 111 equivalent but I have just had to change it again as it had started to go from pink to light grey so it might not be up to the job its only done 7000 miles since the last change.

The box works just fine and of course I am only changing the sump contents as I do not know if the torque converter has a drain or is accessible. Milner Off Road do a Fuchs Titan 4400 that is fully synthetic. Has anyone tried this ??

Castrol make an ATF multi car ATF for imports but again its quite pricey and usually sold in 1 Litre packs.

Just an interesting aside I was wondering if the fluid discolouration was linked to the fact that I have used the 4 WD mode a lot over the winter and when it has rained heavily.

Could this extra extra load when in AWD mode have caused the fluid to start breaking down and hence the colour?
