Terrano pulls left when throttle released

Hi all,
Looking for advice as to why my 1994 terrano 2.7td pulls to the left when i let the throttle off, when i accelerate it goes straight again, i have changed all 8 rear axle bushes but to no avail, can it be a diff problem??
please reply if you can help, i'm baffled now

sticky caliper is a very common problem...causes brake to only partially disengage if at all....need to remove, free up pin and lubricate...

hi there, the problem seems to be on the back somewhere, (however i could be wrong) hence the reason for changing the rear bushes, whenever it is under load it is fine but as soon as i release the throttle to change gear etc. it pulls left but not on the steering, it's as if the rear axle is steering somehow? just wasted the thick end of £200 on bushes etc. it's driving me nuts!!

HI, I had those symptoms once on a Triumph Herald. the rear cross member on one side had corroded allowing the rear axle to move causing the car to steer from the rear. Check the rear spring top mounts, my t2s had rotted off and I had to have new ones fitted. regards bri

Hi mate, I think you are on the right trac. Had this before myself on a four wheel drive Vehicle but cannot remember which one. It was the panhard rod bushes ( the two rods which hold the rear axle in position) Check the bushes furthest away from the axle on the rod. Its rear axle steering. Teebird.

Hi again,
all the tie bar bushes holding the axle have been changed last week (poly ones now fitted) springs, spring seats & crossmember are all fine, it's certainly an head scratcher this one!! It is the same whether in 2 or 4 wheel drive. thanks for the replys guys,

Hi again,
all the tie bar bushes holding the axle have been changed last week (poly ones now fitted) springs, spring seats & crossmember are all fine,

But there are 10 all together so 2 not changed - probably the panard rods ones as suggested above.

Yep, thats the panard rod, locates the axel central to the drive line. should be the first thing to check for the fault you have. I bet if you change the bushes on the panard rod all will be ok.

Do a websearch for panhard bar or track bar (lateral location) have a read, should
keep you busy until you get the new bushes, at least you should know what you are doing
and why, LOL
