terrano mpg

i know this topic has probably been done to death but I was just wondering what mpg your all getting out of your 2.7 terranos? I got 357 miles on a full tank

i get 450 to 470 miles per tank consistently when not towing, thats around town stuff and the odd day trip, 2.7 2003. my thermometer is wildly innacurate at best 10 degrees out either way!

I drive about 100 miles to work and back each day and i recon I get about 28 mpg, but mine is an auto box, I think I read on here that if you put the selector switch on snow setting you can get more but I don't know if that would do any damage long term,Dose any one know ?

yeah i serviced regular, I might have to become a bit lighter on the right foot, its the first time*I've filled it to the top, just worked out im getting around 23/24mpg though I was doing better than that! I suppose having all terrain tyres on would cause abit of drag as well??

selector switch on snow setting??? I dont think I have one of them is it only on select models?

It's an auto box thing! ,to the left of the steering column is a switch ,you can select ,Sport AT or Snow,I think it just alters when the box changes up or down a gear.

leave it on the auto setting ( normally the middle position )
