Terrano lost power while driving ... Help

Hi guys , it's sparkiedoos better half .
While driving around 60mph today , the car suddenly lost all power / acceleration ?
I had been driving for around 5 mins when this happened , but had been out an hour before for 10 mins .
There was no warning lights came on & no strange noises , it was like I had removed the key & was gliding down the road .
I pulled over , switched the car off , turned key till light went out , & started the car , no problems at all ???
I then drove another 10 mins without any problems .
Strange one.
Any thoughts guys .
This has never happened before .

Check fault codes, if none allow fault to develop

Ah, hello milady.

Its a Crank Position Sensor. Not hard to fit.

Either at front of engine or at the very back

No point getting secondhand 1 if it is that that's gone as second hand 1might be on way out anyway

I agree, if it is the CKP sensor, then go new. Not cheap but worth it.

A good indicator that it is the CKP is that it happens when the engine is at operating temperature (when cold, its fine)
