Found this by accident looking at Trols :sly
Once you've drooled over them be amazed at how well this terrano does at 19 mins in. It's got a live axle conversion on it and a ballsy (stupid?) driver :lol
Fantastic little pirouette too, class :naughty

like it! would love to live axle front of mine in the future...

just out of curiosity what axles do people use for front? or would you go whole way and maybe stick say patrol axles on?

I don't know why they went that way, they could have easily driven around those hills.:doh:doh
:lol:lol:lol

I wonder how many people have been squashed, or had been injured by a steel cable, not many hi-vis jackets.

A very dangerous activity.:augie

I've looked into this loads.

Dana d44 is the axle of choice of a jeep wagoneer but we don't get that in the uk , so a hp d30 off a jeep is next best, lots of ratios to choose from as u will need aftermarket ring and pinion to match rear, or swap a pair of jeep axles including rear

Next option is early hilux front

Those are all passenger side diff drop which is easiest and correct, but u can use a patrol axle if u drill out the spot welds where the axle goes into diff and swap the tubes and shafts around to make it passenger drop

Or u can use patrol gq axles if u swap transfer box and possibly gear box as well if transfer box won't go on Terrano box

problem with that sort of competition is that it is not equal to all competitors, the reason being the first few cars chew the ground up to different degrees, so what was a small dip at first becomes much larger later on, so it is not an even playing field, which a competition should be, on the other side of the coin I did like the helper with the strap phisically trying to stop a roll over, reminds me of my last outing when I had two lads swinging on the passenger door to stop the same thing, Rick

IVE JUST MADE MY ...KEY- BOARD ALL STICKY :augie:lol:lol:naughty

WOW those blokes are bloody strong they can stop 2.5 ton of patrol from flipping over with only their hands:lol:D:lol

YOLO:lol:lol

You only die once too, should that be YODO then...:lol:lol
those guys are really taking risks, I was thinking about those running into the path of 2 tonnes sliding towards you on mud.

So what's the point of the hi vis then ?
Motor sport is a high risk thing simples.
50 people watching would be just as much at risk in hi vis but just a bit brighter till they fall in the mud, thus messing up they're hi vis :doh

You'd be surprised. When you're on the point of tip an extra bod on your bumper is all you need :thumbs

Looks like a dana front
