terrano gearbox fit maverick???

Hi guys I'm new on here so go easy lol,what I need to know is will a gearbox from a 97 terrano fit my 94 maverick I'm going to look at one today but the guy tells me the box is a couple of inches longer than mine but he will supply the shorter prop? This started to ring alarm bells to me, can anyone help me with which gearboxes will fit mine as mine is stuck in fourth gear.any advice would be much appreciated thanks guys

Hi and welcome, as far as I know they are the same but cncfabs is the guy to ask, Rick

The boxes are similar except the later has a cut out ontop of the bell housing for the crank sensor.
