Terrano Fuel Tank Leaking..!!!

Hi All,

My 1997 2.7TDi Terrano LWB is leaking diesel around the pipe/sender outlet under the boot floor.
On further investigation its all corroded around the sender unit so I am in need of another tank.
Anyone got a good 2nd hand or even a new one for sale????
Or maybe you can point me in the direction of one.

something was mentioned about a patch cant find at mo though, will keep lookin

Its the 4" round hole with approx 6 small bolts that hold the sender in thats corroded all the way around.
I am a very competent welder with my own kit so this is not a problem but its the shape I think I will struggle with.
Maybe fibre glass could be a temporary repair until I get another tank.

Not going to be of much use right now but we banger Primeras and as far as I can remember the tank unit was bolted, we dont take to much notice as we scrap all that stuff, but if they are the same then easy to cut one out and weld it in yours, shame we have not got one here at the moment, but a Primera is a good candidate for my next banger, and I have noticed that lots of bits are the same as T2, but also it could be a Honda, depends what we can get, just some ideas anyway, Rick
