hi guys i am looking for some advice please....
i noticed yesterday my truck seems to have gained a horrible rattle on tick over, climbed under tonight to find the exhaust has snapped on the end of the middle section, so simple replacement....
so i thought i would check the rest and found soot on the flexi part of the front section, so looks like that is leaking too.
Now my issue is the front section, i have heard horror stories of trying to undo the three manifold nuts, i would like to replace the whole system but i am worried about those three nuts....anybody got any suggestions?
If, worst case scenario the studs snap does it mean the turbo has to come off to fix them and thats another subject altogether.....
Do i start soaking them in wd40 for a few days before trying to remove them or do i take it to a garage where they can heat them with a nice bit of oxyacetylene?
Also what are the alternatives, would it be worth getting a stainless system or just a standard off the shelf number?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated
