hi guys i am looking for some advice please....

i noticed yesterday my truck seems to have gained a horrible rattle on tick over, climbed under tonight to find the exhaust has snapped on the end of the middle section, so simple replacement....

so i thought i would check the rest and found soot on the flexi part of the front section, so looks like that is leaking too.

Now my issue is the front section, i have heard horror stories of trying to undo the three manifold nuts, i would like to replace the whole system but i am worried about those three nuts....anybody got any suggestions?

If, worst case scenario the studs snap does it mean the turbo has to come off to fix them and thats another subject altogether.....

Do i start soaking them in wd40 for a few days before trying to remove them or do i take it to a garage where they can heat them with a nice bit of oxyacetylene?

Also what are the alternatives, would it be worth getting a stainless system or just a standard off the shelf number?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated

My mate has a garage over hudds and did mine last week :thumb2
A lot easier on the ramp than laid on your back!! If you want his number just let me know mate :thumb2
Ps you missed a good day at cowm quarry with the group yesterday :D

i dont mind doing it on my back......lol
my fear is the studs.....
what would i be looking at cost wise to get your mate to do it, did he supply the exhaust too?

PS, yes i have seen some pics of yesterday, looks great....i was competing in a working test with my labrador and spaniel yesterday so i couldnt make it unfortunately.....hopefully next time...

I'll get you a price mate :thumb2
Sounds like you had a good day 2 :thumb2
Be back to you shortly :thumb2

You could get a slightly larger bore system made up in stainless steel & either straight through or with a smaller free flowing silencer:augie

Sorry mate I ment I had down pipe replaced for that. My system is straight through and cost me about £60 to do it myself

Take it off at the gearbox :sly

And if worried stick a little motorcycle can on the end on the end, out the way, loads of clearance :naughty

Reet its £75 to supply and fit front down pipe if you need middle section it will be 125 all in. Cheers Craig.

so is that £125 for all three sections or front and middle, i may as well have all of it done?
when would he be able to do it?
where abouts in huddersfield is he?

Front down pipe + middle 125 ill send you his number and then you can contact him tomorrow for a full price. He is near Lockwood not far from Suzuki Appleyard main stealers.
