Hiya mate, stupid question but have you tried leaving it for 10 secs after the heater coil has gone out - make sure everythings nicely heated up :nenau
When was the last time it started ok???
Its that dead it doesn't have enough power to turn over slightly.
Well I default to (i) faulty ignition switch, or (ii) dodgy starter connections.
But I'd put my wages on No1.:thumb2
You don't get wages anymore
take it to a battery centre.... let them check it out...
It turns out it was a loose wire in the ignition switch, thanks for the advice on checking the cabling. Its now fired up on jumping, I ran it for 30 minutes to charge the alternator up and then left it for half an hour and it fired up straight away.
I then drove for less than a mile to the petrol station, turned off, filled up and then tried to start it up and it was flat as hell.
Do I now have a dodgy battery, alternator or does it just need a good charge?
