Terrano auto stuck in high gear

Any known issues with a terrano auto stuck in high gear no reverse looking at buying it also what would it take to convert to manual if box is shot have a full terrano for spares also it's a s reg

check the transmission fluid level(hot)and also the smell and colour.
should be a nice red colour if brown and smells burnt then change it.
also check the cable linkage to the lever for excessive play.

Just buy mine mate, it's already a manual! Needs a head gasket though

loss of reverse on auto box

When you loose reverse its an omen that the box is kaput.
For some reason its often the first sign of trouble when reverse gear selects half heartedly especially when hot.

Some good info I don't kno if I will get it I'm selling my red t2 and there thinking of Px it for mine so may fix it
