I understand from this site that this is a common problem.
When the rain starts the dipping into the passenger footwell starts. The sponge seal between the blower and the pollen filter housing becomes soaked then drips into the footwell. It does not drip straight away but approx three minutes after the start of heavy rain, as if it is laying somewhere then slops into the blower. I have had the vent grille and the two small covers on the bulkhead off and resealed them, but it still drips when it rains. Does anyone know if there are drain holes at each side of the bulkhead cavity to let out water, or one in the centre to drain out towards the transmission, the rain should be able to drain somewhere?
