A few things that I have had to check on mine recently.

From the engine bay there is a round grommet, think it’s speedo cable or electrical cables run through it. Grommet is just below servo and towards centre of vehicle slightly. Examine carefully if there are any none factory cables through. Seal around if unsure preferably with tiger seal rather than standard silicone sealant.

Again from engine bay examine the joint between inner wing and bulkhead, a bit difficult due to the servo. I was able to move servo just enough by removing cotter pin from brake pedal and the 4 nuts around brake pedal bracket.

Next from the wheel arch examine the joint between inner wing and bulkhead, check for corrosion and don’t poke around with a screwdriver or something.

Check to see if there are signs of the windscreen being replaced as this may not be sealed correctly.

Good Luck

The leek seems like oil. But its coming from behind the instrument cluster

check the speedo cable, many years ago, not on a Nissan, I had a car that would pull oil up the speedo cable into the back of the speedo, where it would leak out, along a wire, and drip into the passenger foot well... took me an age to find.

Yes he’s right speedo cable.

Another vote here for speedo cable :thumb2

Had to keep greasing mine on the Maverick I had as over time it would sound graunchy and get noisy behind the clock as it's manually driven.

Later ones are a sensor on the transfer box

I have had that fault in the past, only problem was the oil contaminated the speedo and at 20 mph it said you were doing 90 plus, fortunately had a spare head on the shelf, Rick

Thanks all.
Looks like I have a gearbox oil leak.
Where the speedo enters the box.

Could it be drawing gearbox oil up ??

Could the box have been overfilled? :nenau

Oh no !
I now have this issue!

It says I'm doing 100 when I'm doing 30

New cluster or can it be fixed ???

yes it can be fixed, remove the speedo from the main cluster and gently wash the moving parts in something like paraffin, petrol might remove the printing on the dial, do a test first to see if it has any adverse effects, also flood some paraffin down the cable with it disconnected at the box end to flush out the oil, Rick
