Hi folks,

I have the original set of 4 JDM splitrims up for offers. Complete with tyres but they're not suitable for road use.

If you're interested feel free to drop me a message with an offer or post here.

Collection from BA4 6DY after 11th March (going on holiday)

I quite fancy these but I have no idea what they are worth, obviously the tyres are useless so what are the four wheels worth, any ideas lads n lasses?

 never thought about that, I was thinking that they would look good re-furbed on my truck, I don't know how wide they are, I don't even know what J mine are

If standard wheels on that year should be 7j.

Hi guys, have been chatting with Doug and we were wondering if 15" wheels would be OK for a set of 31/32" muds, or would the side walls be too big?

I'm running 33"tryes on 15 inch rims.
It's the width of the rims you need to know.

Thanks Elty, these were the standard wheels that came with the car so 7J from your post earlier. Is that wide enough 31/32" tyres?

Just out of interest what size tyres on the rims?

The wheel size should be stamped on the rim.
15x7 ET 0 is what i think they are.
These will take a 31 10.50 15 tyre.
For 32 11.50 15 you really want an 8j rim.
Or drop a tape measure across the width of the rim.

Nice one thanks. Having a new caliper fitted so should have it back this afternoon and I'll have a look

Tyres are 235/75/15's

Wheels are 15x6.5j

What do you reckon regarding the muds?

I've Googled it and to get 32" tyres they would need to be 10" wide, sounds a bit much on a 6.5" to me but I'm no expert, any input is welcome lads :thumb2

Wouldn't risk anything bigger than a 29 9.50 15 on a 6.5j rim.

Thanks for the advice Elty, much appreciated.

Still available if anyone is interested

It becomes more likely the lower the tyre pressure you're running as the rubber can flex.

I see you've had a recommendation from Google for 10j rims for a 32" tyre - sounds like the usual problem of Google, you've got a general answer to a query that is very specific as it depends COMPLETELY on the specific tyre size and the tyre manufacturer's recommendations.

10j for a 32" must be a very wide tyre you're looking at Doug as the 33s on my old Trol were fine on 8j rims (manufacturer recommendations) and I suspect the 4.2 will be on 8j as well (it's also on 33s).

What's the actual size you're looking at? ie. It's it 265/75 16 or something else? What brand and type?

I'm running 33 12.50 R15 Cooper ATT's and when I checked what they recommended for those the website said 8.5J so I played it safe and got the 10J's :naughty

Yeh bro, your 33s are about 30mm wider than mine (12.5" wide vs 285mm wide) which is why they need a wider rim :thumbs

10j is still a very wide rim for a 32" tyre though.

PS. Think you mean STTs btw
