I can't find my CD-rom disc and was wondering if anyone can post an exploded engine picture up, particularly the front of the engine around the head/water pump area as I have a leak and need to see what gaskets might be needed.

This enough to get you started?

A coolant leak at the front of the engine i'd say the water pump has gone but have also had tiny leaks from the hoses at this time of year:augie

Excellent thanks guys, it's a bit of a weird leak hard one to find as there has been a bit of water here and there. Nothing visible at the top side of things just drips at the bottom, my suspicion is water pump but a mate of mine with his 25 years of experience is willing to disagree so I have told him he is the man that will have to prove me wrong. Booked in with him on the 11th so time will tell.

id guess water pump too , although possibly thermostat gasket

I'm sure it'll be the pump at the bottom try placing a bit of paper towel there to see if it soaks up any water on a cold engine without it running:augie

Like I say it is booked in on the 11th so I'll find out then. The water only leaks once the engine is up to temperature and the thermostat has opened, as far as I can work out there are covers over the front of the engine so you can't really see where the pump is bar seeing the pulley.

The pump is bolted onto the front of the engine & once the 5 bolts (I think it is) are removed the pump come straight off & with a lamp/tourch you can see the pump pretty well from the top or underneath:thumb2 If you work fast like I had to do years ago as it was -1-2'c & snowing it can be done in 30mins but even taking your time it's a 45-50min jobs max so don't let them charge you any more labour than that:augie
