I'm wondering if troll owners are compensating for the lack of size elsewhere? ;-)

I like my T2, but have to say, that having used 2003/4 Trol 3.0 GRSVE's (manual and auto box), for an off road driving school I helped run, I have lusted after one ever since......looked on Autotrader SW the other evening to find quite a few 2003/4 models (as well as a 4.2!) around £3 - 4 K in the SW of UK.......nice trucks.....:augie

Just like Ryan used to!!!!!

I'm sure they are the same person

Ryan will prob be back as he is now talking about getting a Maverick once he sells the volvo as he can't get insured on it:augie

That's one of the main reasons why I bought mine!!! It's the same width as my previous Frontera but most alternatives are 4" to 6" wider (that's 100 to 150 mm for you youngsters LOL).
It was the only suitable vehicle that I could actually get out of in my driveway, with daughter's Disco (yes I hate them as well) I am trapped unless I use the back door!!!
They do look over-tall though, even next to a Frontera...... & roll a lot LOL.

I've had 4 and never rolled one yet:nenau
Must be my driving style:lol

As a newbie member, this thread has amused me no end. Talk about poking a wild bear with a stick :lol I would guess Terrano owners outnumber Patrols by quite a bit!!

Anyway, just to add to the comments, I have had both and while the Terrano was easier to get in and out of smaller spaces, and pulled my large (typically 3 tonne loaded) trailer just as well, I couldn't get all my stuff, 2 dogs and various "can you give my a lift" mates in it, and so my vote goes to the larger Patrol.:thumb2

I'm no stranger to the patrol.
I drove a y60 lwb 4.2 gr almost every day for 2 years as it was our works company car.
Love both motors :thumb2

If we all drove Trols, there would be no room left on the roads of Britain:lol

It'll come :sly

Been close before.
Had one up on 2 wheels when a transit van pulled out on me. It was like everything went into slow motion and I really did think I was going over.

That's what big b*****d bumpers are for :lol to avoid moments like these :augie
