In need of a tail gate seal if anyone has one. mines missed shaped on the top left hand corner :( The one that goes all around the door.
Or has anyone used something else with good results. These look pretty standard in shape wise.

Failing that I'll just drive around with no carpets & a few fish :lol

Ahh leaky tailgate seal.

The rubber strip along top edge of roof where the tailgate fits, ensure it is sealed down with silicone or automotive sealant.
Then carefully remove tailgate seal and gently feed some wire or something to fill the seal out.
Also remove the kick strip on edge of the carpet, bed it in on a really good load of silicone which should fill the cavity under the kick strip. Use silicone this time as automotive sealant will stick it down which isn't good.

I got seals, just say which one you need and I can send it with the door, Rick

Thank you Jim :thumb2

The top seal that actually sits on the body has been removed & reseated with sealant.
Kick strip also has had some reseat treatment.

I should've said that the square/rectangular one that fits to the tailgate is also chaffed in one corner & has spilt.

Rick. The one I require is the tailgate black rubber that goes all around the tailgate :thumb2

How much kind sir?

I will have a look and see if I have an undamaged one, and let you know, Rick

Over time the weight of the spare wheel on the back door strains the hinges and the seals don't seal.
I fed a length of silicone tubing inside the hollow part of the door rubber to give it some shape and sealed the parts Jim mentioned with silicone.
That cured it until I slung a steel rim with a 33"tyre on it and it started to leak again.
My spare now lives permanently in the boot and no more leaks.

Thanks Elty for the info. I'll see how it goes now. I like the wheel stuck on the back & when removed, she looks quite naked

I also like the wheel on the back door, reversing sensor for the Mrs :lol but mine is alot bigger and heavier than the standard and the door was a pain to close with it on and it broke the spot welds on the strengthening struts in the door.
