T2 speakers...

Hi all, going to do an R&R on my front doors to replace the crappy factory 5x7's.

I am going to convert to round components, via DIY adapter rings to allow 5 1/4 or 6 inchers. Am pretty sure the 5's will fit, but will the 6's go in ? I dont mind cutting abit of the door panel to make room for the basket, but would rather be informed before I start!

Re-Front door speakers i had fitted some Alpine 6.5" on my T2 when i had it just like these :thumb2

Bring them in from America gr8 service and very good value

They were the Ref 6.5" Type x with a very big magnet on the back I made up a 20mm
MDF spacer and covered it with fibre resin to move away from the door window glass when fully down. :clap:clap
