Its extremely well insulated, a tiny little blower heats it up in no time, has running hot and cold water, he's just bought a fridge for it too! Double glazing door and window, two single beds that fold out to be a queen size bed, or fold up to use as large benches. I'll put some pics up of the inside when his missus has done the "finishing touches" :lol

These trucks are fantastic but yet people slag them off. Personally I think Terranos are one of the best 4x4’s ever produced and very under rated by people.
Was watching wheeler dealers dream cars this afternoon when the wife asked me what my dream car would be. I did have to think about it but to be honest I’d love my old 3 litre back with the space money and skills to completely strip it down and make it brand new again.

She never missed a beat, not a hint of trouble, she has worked bloody hard and been superb! She needs some cosmetic work now to make her look as good as she is :thumb2

That was absolutely epic as for over the windscreen at the end, you must of been floating, very risky on your own thou, but well done, my Patrol even at 2.8 T was starting to float at Slindon and water was just under top of bonnet, Rick

Yeh was floating a little, starting to drift off sideways, if the water hadn't flooded in as much as it did I think I would of lost traction, but the weight of the water held me down!

If I'd have known about the depth at the end I wouldn't have gone through, this has got me thinking seriously about a second terrano for such use, no back seats or carpets etc.

Yea that is the difference, mine is water tight so floats easy, you were bloody brave there mate, guess you will need to give your electrics in the footwell a once over, Rick

Bloody long swim home if she had died on you Mark just shows your snorkel is good, my god was that risky, Rick

The screams and shouts in Elty's kitchen earlier while we watched this Doug!!!!!

You are a MADMAN!!!!!!!!!!!

:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

The family thinks I'm nuts. Sat here shouting ' Go on T-Doug '
You nutter :lol:lol

:lol:lol thanks guys, just to clarify, the first bit, the long bit that was just coming a bit over the bonnet I knew she could handle easily and I'm quite comfortable tackling on tarmac roads, the last bit when it started coming up the windscreen was quite unexpected and if I felt I had a choice I would not have done it, but once I was in it was too late!
I'm very impressed (and flippin' relieved :lol) that stuff like the electric accelerator pedal and ecu kept working as both were fully submerged, fuse box got wet too.

The o/s indicator is constantly illuminated and I had to replace fuse for blower, which when I switched it on turned the inside into a sauna :lol:doh, I have disconnected the battery for tonight because the central locking was playing up by itself but I hope with a good dry out tomorrow with a little fan heater everything will be alright :)

I fancy a swb now, I nice met red one, manual pump, lift all electrics, custom everything, no carpets etc. that I can do some more serious stuff in and use Sarah mainly for overland stuff :D

just where was this Mark? I might like to come and have a go, Rick

A very long way from you I'm afraid Rick and it's not usually like that. Type Fairburn Ings into google maps, the road that links fairburn to Allerton bywater, newton lane, the Allerton end :thumb2

Can I borrow Sarah for a few hours, I want to go to the old raf church fenton for a breakfast in the cafe and the access road looks pretty much the same :lol

Mark do me a favour and take care pal, that was a bit extreme mate

POD !

Here we are, plonked on the ground and decking and rails fitted, we took the decking and rails separately today.
The pod weighs 1890kg, trailer weighs 740kg, plus four hi-lift Jack's with thick steel base plates, eight pallets and a fridge thrown in the pod I reckon on about 2700-2750kg, just under the 2800kg limit of a 2.7td manual lwb terrano :D
There were some second gear hills when we got off the M6 but she handled them easily, that truck is so flippin' awesome :bow
