Having had my shiny new diesel pump now for 6 months its time for sone veg oil.what i want to know is do you use heaters or mix with dino.

Use bio and then no need for heating or diluting. AND it's cheaper than SVO, even cheaper still if you dilute the svo with derv:doh
Even if you can nfind a source of svo at £1 and then dilute it 50/50, as many seem to do ,then your cheap fuel is really costing £1.20 a litre.
Bio is at the mo 87p and goes in neat and works all through the winter :thumb2
Ker ching :naughty

Blimey, 87p a litre, where is that?

The stuff sold up near me is at £1.05 a litre

Here you go, ring Jamie 07947468281
He's near Manchestoooor :thumbs

Thanks for that mate but i make my own.

May be handy for others local to that though

Cheers
Stephen

We thought about making it but then realised we really couldn't be arsed collecting all that crap oil:eek: Then all that chemistrickery etc :augie
So a trip in the van every now and then :naughty
Collecting 2000 today as it happens. Picking up a landie chassis for a mate and some nice new mud tyres for me :D

Work is such an inconvenience isn't it... :lol

if I had a place to keep the stuff I'd be doing the same as pete, also don't have to travel to get fuel then if you live in the sticks.

I use SVO and have used it at 100%, the main problem being finding it at the right price. I like to pay less than £1 a litre or the saving isn't worth the bother.

Exactly :thumbs I last had svo when tesco had a buy 1 get 1 free on their oil, that worked out about 60p a litre :D Great fun for a while but the ruddy shelves emptied pretty quick:doh

Anyone used KTC oil, it don't say on the tin whats in it.
Some sites say its GM modified soya and not the best for SVO.
Anybody any experience of it? David.

i asked the question about using gen mod soya oil on here ages ago and got no response, I await your replies with interest :thumb2

The GM modified thing is irrelevant, its still vegetable/plant oil isn't it and pretty much anything of that ilk burns in this motor.

To be fair it's probabaly the best use for GM oil. It was the soya oil bit that concerns me!

Well I can't pretenhd to be an expert - even though I do LOL - but I don't think the old Terrano knows a carrot from a soya bean :lol:lol
