Well after three weeks in the post from Germany my pre pump svo heater has arrived.

if you look at the picture on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....K:MEWNX:IT&item=280346042339#ebayphotohosting

it looks sort of big and chunky, but in the flesh:

its tiny , but as my missus keeps saying size isnt everything, and by @@@@@ it gets hot.

Has anyone installed one of these before and if so any anecdotes or better still pictures :nenau

Still haven't fitted mine Dave but assume it going in the rubber pipe immediately before the inlet side of the filter?

I considered that and may get another to do that.

The general consensus from several people was that it would be better off immediately before the pump. On mine there a metal pipe from the pump to a rubber hose to a metal pipe which goes to (or I suppose allows flow from ;) ) the filter. I think it'll be going in that gap unless anyone else suggests otherwise :thumb2

I think the logic from the advice I was given is to make sure the oil is as warm as poss when it hits the pump and injectors. If its so cold outside it cant reach or get through the heater you need another heater by the filter.........or switch to that expensive stuff you get in filling stations :eek:

Here we go, couple of hours work:

The isolation switch with nifty blue on light, Its positioned there to hide an old hole the last owner had made and theres room for another switch below it if ever needed:
