sve patrol y61 oil filter repalcing

Hi guys! I just bought a 3.0 sve patrol 2003 and now trying to do oil:augie change but finding it hard to remove the filter housing should i be turning clockwise or anticlockwise to remove, im just afraid i will bust the housing any ideas???

your try to remove the oil filter? to replace with new 1, should be anti clock wise! to remove the filter i would have thought.... is on my t2 and d21! they can be sods to get off tho:( any wellcome :) sure their be more posts later when every body is back from their saturday shop around m and s:D
 
Yes, As sidsid06 said just to confirm it as on my patrol, definatly anti-clockwise
to undo..but a bit tricky as i had to stand on a stool (short arse) to get both my hands in, but ended up getting one of them strap wrenchs,as it was to tight hope this helps..:thumb2
 
All oil filters should come off anti-clock, check the thread on the new one if in doubt:)
when re-fit make sure put some oil on seal first, and only hand tighten as per what it says on side of filter (usually once seal made contact then another 2/3 turn. if it still leaks after runing tighten a bit more until it doesn't leak - makes it alot easier next time you need to change it:clap
