I tow with one virtualy every day, a 2000 cc hard top 5 door petrol engine, we have had every engine variant over the years and the 2000 petrol is my favourite. A towing capacity according to the book of 1850 kilos, but I regularly exceed that with no problems, I have towed a large old rice horse box with 2 chunky ponies no problems at all which far exceeds the book limit.

I hope this helps :thumb2

Thanks plank why petrol and not diesel I am a bit of a diesel fan think you get more for your money. And no I'm not a scot:lol:lol:lol

I just find them a nicer drive there isnt a great dealk of difference fuel economy wise and added to that diesel costs more, and the turbo diesel costs a lot more to buy, so overall no much of a saving and the petrol is smooth and quiet and powerfull.

The later diesels are a peugeout engine and so pretty proven technology and are also very good vehicles not much in it I dont suppose just a mater of personal preference.

But one of the things about them that does get adictive is the shifting in and out of 4x4 on the move at up to 60 mph no reversing or getting out to switch hubs just move the transfer lever. they are a bit less spacious than a t2 though to be fair they do seem to have a little more width in the cab so if you are wide like me it is a bit of a benefit.

Ok thanks for all that plank I have always liked them but they do seem to keep their price.
