yes very true, I was a bit worried as we went through a fair bit of water (nothing too high)

Im going to open another thread with a link to all today's pics :thumb2

Glad you had a good time:thumb2 but as mentioned having another 4x4 with you is a very wise move at this time of year & if you don't know the lanes very well. I had driven 1 lane quite a few times in the Yorkshire Dales without any probs on my AT's then the last time I drove it I got stuck on wet grass as the ground was that wet the grass just ripped out of the ground & clogged up the tread:doh If you haven't got a tow strop yet get one, a folding hand saw is handy to carry to cut back branches instead of taking them home with you:lol even a little folding spade if needed can help you out of trouble:augie

Or you could be on the Lonesome Trail:D

Thanks all :thumb2

Yeah I must admit, we usually have a few nervous moments (one yesterday where this tractor had been through a patch of deep mud - now flooded) and also the Dreaded last lane too.

I try to keep momentum, revs low ect, In my last 4x4 i used to revs the nuts off it and it does you no favours, clogs up the tread (as mentioned) and then you just slide about.

What i really want is a winch :naughty
