Can anyone remember the fix for the sunroof rattle? something about some cross head screws but can't remember exactly where they are? roof has to be open but can't remember if it's to be tilted or slid back?

HI Jim, there is a post, mine rattled around europe drove me mad, had to push in foam to stop it!

FIX.. open roof, right back, use steps so you are looking down into sliding roof from the OUTSIDE on either side are runners there is a screw in each one this is the screw that comes loose allowing the sliders to rattle. lubricate, done. less than 10mins work. sit in sun have a cuppa and feel that warm feeling that you have achieved something today...regards bri

nice one bri i have the same problem:thumbs
will sort that out later.then its just the rattle on the drivers door left to do.
sounds like the rods inside the door are banging together.

i had back door rattle, its the wheel hanger just sprayed wd40 in there. gone for now but when dryer a nd warmer will have another bash at it

Will have to try that and see if it cures mine...

Wish the engine rattle was just as easy to fix :doh

Its not my roof that rattles its the blind and its doin my head in,its open all time now with foam jammed in till i can fix,

Hi millie, thats the rattle you have, the blind and runners rattle when the screws come loose, it really is annoying, but is such a quick fix......... now you know how.........bri

Oh flippin heck it's worse now:doh

I tightened with difficulty the screws that are at each rear corner when the sunroof is tilted, didn't need much just nipped up a bit. However there looks to be a line of screws along the rear edge of the shade but I couldn't reach these.

Can anyone confirm that I've tightened the correct two screws?

Thanks

thanks bri but think it could be more, when you brake hard the bloody thing shuts and frightens the **** out of ya its that slack.

Just had another look at my roof (hot sunny day here in the lakes) If you tilt the roof and look down from the outside at the back where the roof is open there is a screw at either side
you will need a very short driver or a right angle driver, this affects the blind.. regards bri

I'm doing this tomorrow ! The rattle drives me mad !

Lee. :thumbs
