It's on here somewhere, It's to do with a screw that needs adjusting and can be done with the sunroof open

Open the sun roof to the tilt position, open the driver's and passenger doors and stand on the silll. Look down at the black plastic trim that runs around the rear of the aperature from one side to the other and you will see two black M4 countersunk screws, one each side - these come loose.
They are a bit fiddly to get to, but I used an angled crosshead screwdriver (one euro for a pair from the local Chinese todo (all) shop).
Mine was tight on the passenger side but needed quarter of a turn on the driver's side - my immediate thought was "That won't make a difference", but it did - rattle gone, never to return!

Yup, did the same myself - "That can't cause that much rattle, barely lose!" but it totally cures it. Mine came back a couple of times, don't think I managed to tighten them up enough at first.

I have wondered what will fall out if I remove each screw, to add threadlock - too chicken to try it!

bloody hell, it worked:eek: wasnt even quater of a turn got em as tight as possible then hot glued over them to hold them:D

easier way i think have an elephant sit on roof i never get any rattles or squeakes then:augie:augie:augie

Crikey. Didn't realise this could be fixed! I'm going to do it now as it's driving me mad.
