Sunroof drain

I see a thread started about moisture under the drivers floor mat.
I am pretty new here, and can't reply to thit for some reason.
I have the same issue, and was thinking about the sunroof drains too.
Does anyone know where they are come out underneath?

The s/r drain comes out at the front of the sill

I'm not in the best shape either, just got fookin' soaked battling the drains in the road :doh

we are moving units at work so all the plant has got to be moved from one site to the other so we are trying to find someone to sub out the powdercoating work to for a month.
then added to the fact that the roof in the new unit is not as tall as our present one so the layout will have to be changed to get it to fit in:doh
gaffer is stressing and its Friday and I cant be arsed with it.:lol

they knew from day one about the roof height and the guys that are moving the oven have got to lower the whole unit by approx 2 foot.
this now defies the point of having an elevated oven as we could utilise the floor space underneath it.
by lowering it this workspace will be lost unless we employ some dwarfs:lol

That's because your not a full paid up member:doh It's just £10 a year & you can then post in every section & can get to the down load section where the how too's are like reading & clearing fault codes & what the codes mean & that allown is worth the tenner as it'll cost you more at a garage

I have tons of pics of me rebuilding and fitting the galvanised chassis, but I spend 6 months of the year 15000 feet up a mountain in a former soviet block country. The microwave link thing we use for coms with the outside world is from the cold war, and I just can't get pics on.
I will be home in 3 weeks or so and will flood the site with them. :thumbs

Are the sunroof drains defo the problem?

The drains exit in the area around the front of the sills behind the mud flaps. If you open the front doors and look where the hinges are behind the wing you might see the crud built up at the bottom. Usual cure is hose it all out regularly, though even after its been hosed out you can remove the mud flaps and still get a pound or two of mud out of there. Often a good idea to do this and treat against rust.
Ive also heard of the plastic tube coming off the end of the drain in the sunroof drain. Head lining has to be dropped slightly to access these.

I read on here yesterday about someone squirting direct into the drains with a siringe.
I once thread some line from a strimmer down from the top to the bottom of the drains to make sure they were not blocked.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have no idea what the problem is, but I guess I need to start somewhere.
I think the world of the old girl, and have spent a lot of time and money to have her perfect.
Knowing the damp is getting in is really bugging me.
You any other ideas ?

sometimes water gets through the bulkhead , possibly heater matrix leaking , or even a hole in the floor , but there is a fix for the sunroof ( look in quick links ) ..... hopefully a easy fix ....... welcome by the way :thumb2
