Hi Im sure some of you knowledgable people out there will have an answer. My lwb terrano sun roof has a very annoying rattle, it appears to be the sun shade. I have looked through the forums but have not found anyone else who as had this problem. A bit of foam pushed in stops the noise but I would like a permanent solution, thanks bri.

Is the rattle when the shade is open or closed ? I'm not sure if you can adjust the runners, but you would prob have to drop the headlining to get access to the runners & that could cause kinks in the lining. I don't have a shade so i'm guessing hear, if you tilt the sunroof up you may be able to see the runner with the shade shut

Its when the shade is pushed back, I like the light, I suppose there is some tensioner but I cant see any as the shade is pushed back when to roof is opened, bri

you will find this to be a very common problem and easily fixed

open the sunroof in the tilt position and at the back right on the corners look down and you will find two screws that hold a plastic trim in postition tighten these screws.
they are a bit of a pain to get too but you can use a normal screwdriver at an angle or a have a little right angled screw driver that is just right. the screws only have to be slightly loose to cause the rattle.

Thanks Terranokid,
When it stops raining, if it ever stops, Ill sort it out. must say that although we have had rain here in the lakes its not been bad, the local river the Kent is quite low so we havent had any floods bri

I have been working in paris and its been 34 degrees and bright sunshine all week I didn't belive people when the said they had had heavy rain I drove all the way back home through dark clouds but the roads were dry until i was 10 miles from home and all the roads were flooded

well the rain stopped and the sun came out today, so I opened the sun roof and fix it in 5mins! It would have been 2mins if I had realized that the adjustment was done from outside the roof. Thanks Kido, just come back from our annual 10 week trip around europe and that rattle has driven us mad for near 5000 miles. knowledge is power!

Erm, can I add an extra dimension to this sunroof issue? My sunshade is stuck fast - I cant get it to pull over, and more worryingly it stops the sunroof from fully opening. Anyone got any ideas how I might be able to fix this one? Not desperate to have it, if I could just get it out!!
