That's quite civil compare to some of the crap people come out with, I could write a book on it. :augie

Never mind, no harm done :thumb2

LOL we love a good spat we do!

And seriously, not only is £30 a perfectly fair price for whats quite a sturdy bash plate, but try getting one from the dealers and see how much they charge, if indeed you can even get one. I've had people moaning at me suggesting £50 for a mint part thats over £330 in the dealers - stuff 'em I say. :)

still too dear ,just got one for a 3 litre t2 for a tenner plus vat from local breakers, dont mind people making a profit but be realistic with prices.as you say you dont have to buy but phone around or use partsgateway you may be surprised as every one is feeling the pinch, also bought spare mirror for mine for a tenner.:D

disagree.....some people dont want to fanny about in a scrapper.....and theres only a finite number of the guards around.

and a tenner for a wing mirror is a blinding bargain, the seller must have been a wally.

good service

Got a few on the yard here - £30 + £8 P&P will include the bolts too! :thumb2
Arrived this PM, no bolts:eek: but had been degreased.:clap
Pretty quick service, ordered it thusday,
This is the third time in my 10 months as a member I have bought things from others, every part arrived AOK & in the minimum of time, another good reason to cough up the tenner a year:bow

Glad I was able to be of service to you. :thumbs

We got quite a few Mk1's & Mk2's breaking at the moment.

Sorry the mechanic had chucked the bolts away, after me asking him to keep them all - suppose its hard to teach an old dog new tricks

Well thats quite lucky getting a mirror for a tenner, I'd usually charge 35+ vat for an electric one and 15+ vat for a manual one.

What a lot of people fail to understand and appreciate is the amount of work that goes into preparing a vehicle so it can be parted out and made safe for people to have the parts.

The days have well gone of cars being taken off the roads and put straight into fields -

Try keeping 15 people in wages and the rates alone on our 20 acre site and then suggest Profit & realistic pricing - :stupid
