That will be the auto park switch on the end of the wiper motor. just remove the plastic cover and give the swtich a clean.

Hi Bob thanks for the speedy reply! this auto park switch is it on the wiper motor behind plastic cowling or the washer motor on bottle? Cheers Rich

Its on the wiper motor, may be full of hard grease, give it a clean and a small dab of light grease
