Strong Adhesive needed ?

I have to bond some rubber blocks onto natural slate I was thinking of using TIger Seal as it's a pretty good alround adhesive anyone have any advice as to a better option or have I got the best one in mind ?

My only worry is if water will cause a problem as it is ouside and though not submerged the surrounding slate will get wet when it rains. The blocks are about 8"x2"x2" in size so there is a reasonable contact area of 16 sq inches..

Thats what I would use too. Only thing is, when you say water do you mean just because its outside or a pond? Not sure if tigerseal would have toxins in it for a pond.

I've used CT_1 to refix my front bump stops on the troll and they have not moved:thumb2
Also to bond some slate together to make a bathe for our snakes and they are OK too

I use silkaflex to bond everything. Cheaper than tiger seal. And trust me you will struggle to part anything you stick with it.
Half my greenhouse roof is silkaflex.

as above, ive used Tiger seal and Silkaflex. I used Silkafelx to bond the rear rubber bump stops on the terrano and they are still holding strong...!

Mmmmm slate, slate is in essence thin layers compressed together, to stick to slate can only be as strong as the adhesion of the outside layer to the next one, so it will depend entirely on the type of slate you have, liken it to sticking to paint on a wall, best glue in the world will only be as good as the paint bond to the substrate, Rick

dunno if this helps am I'm not sure on drilling slate but i would consider drilling the slate poke a bolt up from underneath, drill the block and fill with a resin fixing from screwfix, this will be completely water tight and pretty strong
