Wonder if anybody knows what this problem is caused by?

Clutch on my Terrano is normally fine, apart from a little pedal drop. The other day, I went on a run (about an hour) when I noticed that the clutch pedal had gone really hard when changing gear. Then the clutch started to slip in all gears!
Stopped in a petrol station for a coffee.....when I re-started and drove off, everything was normal! The return journey was uneventful....and it's been alright since!
Can anybody tell me what the hell was going on, please?

Loosing clutch fluid?

Check leakage from clutch damper pipe that runs down the chassis.

most likely the hose to the slave cyl, about £13, Rick

Thanks, guys. I don't seem to be losing any fluid and I bled the damper pipe a few months ago. Might be an idea to change all the fluid I guess and go from there. Thanks.

i'd remove the damper pipe. Blank it off at the junction under the footwell of the drivers side.
