Stop/tail mod.

Hi guys due to the very welsh weather today I found myself doing the high level stop/tail light mod.:sly
BUT I think I've found a much much simpler way to do it than what I saw here before.
Just cut the lugs off a stop/tail light fitting, and stick it in your light. Simples.

I got a couple up the scrap yard off a mitsubishi truck I think. They're the same size and have rubber gasket etc.
So now I've got my work lights (tinted) and the side lights up

The other option would be a trip to the breakers & have a look at the bulb holders off other Nissans with a stop/tail light:thumbs

Where am I getting the feed from for the sidelights?

Main wiring loom is on the near side corner behind the plastic panel. Should be able to pickup the rh and lh feed from there as towbars are usually wired in there too.

Now if I can cast my mind back all those years lol....yes nearside rear, all wires are there.
Running power cables to that area is easy, along the nearside outer edge of the carpet next to the sill.

Yep as said, pick up feed n/s rear quarter. While you're there you can take one into the door also for raised number plate mod :thumb2

So am I right in thinking that I need to grab a bulb holder and bulb from another vehicle that has dual filament bulb?

What modding will I then need to do to the light cluster to ensure that the new bulb holder fits?

Yes mate, ideally from a Nissan then you'll probably get a straight in fit. Mine came off something else and I had to mod the little plastic locating lugs a bit, but no biggy
