OK, so got no ideas of what to do next

cps maybe next thing

I dont have any codes but could it still be the sensor?

wastegate stuck open ?

egr valve ?

maf ?

peddle switch ?

pump ?

fuel pipes corroded ?

fuel filter drawing air ? replace this anyway

boost hose or intercooler leaking ?

I still have an intermittent loss on mine, but its been fine today, seems to only happen on wet days

turn engine off
then restart

its ok for a few miles again

not sure the above would "reset" like that

iz got a new one on.

that was the first thing i changed

so now thinking Cam/Crank Sensor CRANK [CS1502]

but was thinking i dont get a fault code or mil light..

Not sure at all if this is of use.My T2 has the alarm system that beeps as you turn on the ignition. If I do not allow the beep to stop or red light to go out it will start fine but only run in what I can only describe as limp mode.Restart and follow correct procedure and all is well.
Perhaps ? The immobiliser/alarm is sending the wrong signal to the ECU.Thus no error code ? Is there the possibility that the immobiliser is confusing the ECU?? I could be talking absolute boll@ck$ of course but you never know .

Another one.My mate has a Pathfinder.Same symptoms. He discovered that it only occured when the tank was below half. After being ripped off by Nissan he did his own thing and concluded that there was dirt at the bottom of the tank which was partially blocking the fuel filter. So he changed the filter every couple of weeks and the vehicle is now perfect.

Last one.Try running with the fuel cap off.My Mondeo would do a similar trick and after much head scratcing I accidently discovered that the little breather hole in the cap was blocked thus creating a partial vacuum in the tank.Perhaps the tank breather pipe is blocked.?
Hope something here is of help.

Does yours have a particle filter in the exhaust ? was common when i was a mechanic to have these collapse and block the exhaust, then to unblock when turned off, only to reblock again, usually a rattle on tickover tho until they block again

start and runs ok,
then power loss, restart and all is fine for a few miles

fuel cap is ok and clear,

fuel filter is new one

ALL AIR LEAKES ARE SORTED TOO :clap:clap at last!!

What about the gauss filter in the tank, (if the diesels have one) I had a Diesel motor not so long ago that this proved to be the fault, loads of fine dirt, too big to pass the filter blocked it up, stop engine some fuel drained back to tank or gravity allowed dirt to fall away, few mins later engine started but only for a few miles, I am guessing there is an inspection plate the same as the petrol top right of the tank, Rick

filter in the tank, not sure there is one

banjo filter ive cleaned

turning off then starting resets the fault.

im thinking a duff sensor, Crank Sensor maybe

where is it, and is it easy to change??

what sysmtoms are there if its faulty??

Hi i had a Range Rover with a perkins in, any way it would drive ok then after a few miles it would stop, so would bleed it up and would run fine for a day or so then stop again. It did this for weeks new filter checked fuel lines etc. still same.
so tank off sender out no filter on end? so not that, empty tank a rattle was heard look in side a one half of a wooden peg?
so all i can think of was the peg would cover the end of the pipe causing fuel starve. so engine stops peg drops off. Bleeds up off we go:doh
nice having little Girls ant it. peg out new little filter on bottom of pipe, never stopped again:clap
No saying its what is up with yours, but you will get there in the end .Laurie ash:clap

crank shaft sensor

When my crank shaft sensor was on its way out run fine when cold, but when the car warmed up on a 3 mile trip to work it was running like a bag of pants, because the new sensor very expensive I would keep putting of buying one ordered from sunwin nissan changed in a bout an hour the car as run perfect ever since.£ 180.00 light but could not get second but in the end money well spent because you might buy a crap second hand one and all the problems start again.

PS Only thing when checked the codes it did say crank shaft on the flashes.

Mine was near water pump very awkward, because its near belts.

um nope.

whats the reasoning behind doing that?

Well mine are playing up car runs fine but i have only had it lose power 2twice in 1yr as engine is running it vib the wires might be just enough to loose power to ecu for fraction of a sec teally cheap tepair worth a short
