I'm just gauging interest for an idea here...
many of us have a bunch of redundant audio control switches on the steering wheel.
There are 6 buttons that could be repurposed with the addition of a small control module.
Volume up/down, source, seek-up, seek-down, and special.
These switches could then be used to control relays for switching bigger relays, lights and other accessories on/off.
The buttons could be set to push for on and release for off (momentary) or push for on and push again for off (latched).
FYI; there are only three wires from the 6 switches, that present differing resistance values!
But it could prove to be a neat solution, rather than grafting additional switchgear into the limited dash space?
Let me know your thoughts.
