Think my steering idler has gone should I buy just the bushed or should I buy new idler from milner for £33 or can the idler axle wear so that new bushes wont sort it thanks

most times bushes are all that is needed, easy to pull it off and have a look to see if shaft is worn, Rick
 
I might still have some bushes left if thats all you need. £5 plus post :thumbs
 
How do you know if the steering idler has gone? What would I look for? tell tale?

When some1 is rocking steering ball joint attached to idler will move up and down and with mine u can feel a clunk only when steering wheel is first turned in either direction hope that makes sense
 
steering idler on these trucks may aswell be made of chocolate, a few of us have used makeitfits design and uprated them :thumbs
 
What does a steering idler do? :nenau

Sort of supports the relay arm on the passanger side so the passanger wheel turns like it should do this is whats the problem with steering boxs as a pose to rack and pinion steering like u get on cars
