Looking though the Spanish (?) picture gallery I was struck by the number of mods shown for the steering idler so I thought 'I know that the Terrano steering is not the best but it can't be that bad'
Well, I inspected the idler more closely than I had before and realized that it is a very poor design, especially on a car of this type
So out came the welder/drill press/tape measure and a few inches of 40x40x5 angle and I set to work - outcome shown below. The welding really is better than it looks in picture - it's a trick of the light :augie
Nowhere near makeitfit's mods :bow but it's got to be stronger than before.
