Hi, does anyone know if there should be rubber end stops fitted to the steering end stops? My tyres are rubbing on both full locks and the end stops either side appear nice and shiney as if rubber stops were once fitted to them. Have trawled thro' the manual but can find no info.:

the cure for this is a dollop of thick grease! most 4x4's are the same :thumb2

Hi hillbillie. The steering stops come with a plastic cap on, which wear away about 5 minutes after fitting them. These are quite thin, and not having them won't allow the tyres to rub - do you have standard wheels & tyres? The sound of rubbing you are hearing may be the stops touching their other half on the wishbone. What most of us do is put a blob of grease on each stop (two stops on each wheel), this stops an alarming noise for next to no cost.
Cheers Bruce (Terranical)

Yup take the plastic covers off "what's left of them" and give it grease, I done that a while ago, heard nothing since :thumbs

Two of my motors have stainless steel caps no problem at all, never really noticed it till recently, Rick
