Hey hey , told you :D
Such an easy mod too well done and don't forget to re-fit the ARB bracket :sly
It'll be even better once you try it off road. I had a fight on my hands when I went 35s but the old damper helps a lot .
Enjoy :clap

I'd get a cover for the piston rod before it gets caked in mud and tears the seal :thumb2

Am I right in thinking the damper mount on the N/S go's between the x member & the ARB bush ? if so have you made up a spacer to fit the O/S to stop the ARB sitting at an angle:augie

I didn't bother on mine and at 3mm I really don't think it's an issue.
If you're OCD enough then fill your boots :D

Prob not an issue for you mate as your truck is more an off road toy than a daily driver:thumbs but for an every day motor having the ARB at even a slight angle will affect the way the ARB acts in the corners:augie

I agree in theory but just don't think there's enough shift in ARB position in real world driving. 3mm is probably far less than the amount of movement in a std bush before the bar takes effect anyway. IMHO :thumbs

Did think about putting a plate in the other side to level it but time was getting on and I need the truck in the morning.
I can adjust my arb on the rose joint if needed. :thumb2

Got one free with the damper but it is tight for space and I think the boot would rub on the Draglink and come off anyway.

Well keep a close eye on it dude, again, one of those interesting debates, boot or no boot.

I can only imagine mud will go on it either way and the boot just helps a tad

any body on here interested in a fitting kit for the steering damper.
Have got a couple to make but if there is any one else wanting one I will do a few extras.
£20 inc delivery for those interested.
This kit does not include the damper just the fittings needed to mount a pro comp ES 2000 steering damper.

Yeah mate :thumb2
Just easier to make a few while every thing is set up.

I got the angle iron but I ain't got the u brackets or bracket they fit on.

I'm doing one for you this week mate so it will be ready to fit on Saturday.
While I'm doing a couple just seeing if there is any one else interested :thumb2

I wasn't coming up to have work done bro.we were coming to see you and kaz.
If it gets fitted bonus.

will only take an hour or so to fit it.Kaz wont mind mate she will have jac to keep her company:thumb2
just got to drill 3 holes in your angle bracket, dont take long with my pillar drill.

I've just fitted one of theses and they're amazing. You won't regret it no more achy arm gripping steering wheel for all your worth

Can anyone remember what size u clamps are needed. I used bent threaded bar but mate wants to use u clamps
