Just a quick data release from the depths of my T2 file box ( glove box ) :augie
I fitted a steering damper a few years back and some have asked where, what etc
So here's the instruction leaflet for your delectation :thumbs

pft, what's wrong with turning the map, er, I mean , lappy :lol

did the damper make any difference pete as I was thinking about fitting one.
can get hold of the damper no problem but cant find the fitting kit, even looked on pro comp website.
don't look that complex to be honest so im sure I can get something fabricated at work.

Made a big difference off road mate. I got it when I was on 33s. Now on 35s it's ruddy essential as the big bumps off road will rip the steering wheel clean out your hands. If you're lucky you'll keep some fingers :lol
A little modding reqd. I did a thread on it somewhere. Search function does my noggin in

Cheers pete:thumb2
Can get the es2000 damper from local erhem land cough rover place for 35 quid.
Bracket not a problem to fabricate at work.

A nice little mod there

I've noticed in the Defender I'm driving at the moment that they also help with torque steer

Had one on my sportrak and my sj and uprated both of them to the pro comp damper and made loads of difference when running on bigger tyres.

Does this mean you are going to make a few mounting kits up to sell Elty001

Cheers Gav

Could be a little venture if there is enough interest.
Problem is finding the time.
Having a big shake up at work at the moment as one of the managers is leaving and the md is running the show so everything is being done on the qt for now until things settle down.
Will have to see what I can sort out.

I'd definitely have a set off you if and when you can get them done. I'm sure there would be a few more aswell mate.

Cheers Gav

Will look into it when I go back to work.
On holiday this week.
Angle iron not a problem to source, the other bracket, although not complicated will take a bit longer as I need to find the right size u bolts so I can get all the dimensions for getting it lazer cut and folded.

Just been examining the mounting point for the angle bracket.
Have you since put the front ARB back on Pete?
Looks to be enough thread on the bolts to take both.

:thumb2 will hopefully get one fitted this week while I am off work:thumb2

Can get the don't fit kit from oz:lol
