Standard y61 tyre question

Hi all, 1.5k on the machine since putting it on the road and all is as it should be
Now for the mods, I have a long list but i thought to start off with a tyre change, currently on Toyo A/T open countrys 265/65/17s but was thinking of 295/70/17 in Toyo M/Ts has anyone tried them on a standard Patrol or am i mad to try.

They work out at around 33 inch diameter and 11.5 inch wide.
Think a bit of suspension lift may be needed to fit them without them catching on anything.
