I am having the cat replaced as that is where it's rotted through. I would like to go straight through but not having the back pressure is a concern. I think the stand exhaust is 2 1/2 inch so I might go 3 but I'll see what they recommend. It's not really about the noise but if it's a by product of a stainless 3 inch then all the better. I do like the noise from the V8 diesels on the Aussie videos.Hi Neil
I've found some guys to do mine.
I'd spoken about a muffler to them to.
They recommended a straight through, but can include a lift out section for a muffler if later required and to get the sound right.
Bearing in mind, that diesels don't sound as impressive as petrols.
And do you need a bit of Back pressure?
A Sports cat, if a cat is required for MOT, is something else to consider
I'm still unclear of the legalities of this.
Your Patrol is definitely going to benefit!!!

Up behind the glove box Neil and thar be two of them if I remember.
Who have you found to do your exhaust work for you?

I have a boost gauge which seems to be down about .15 of a bar, at 70 mph it normally sits at about .6 of a bar but was between .45 and.5 Not fitted the egt yetDo you have any gauges to see the difference in boost, egt temps?
Looks a good job, any other mods done?
Yeah, I don't weld or have the benders so I have to pay the price

I also had a sports cat fitted and I'm guessing £350 of labour to pay for.Just had a look on line and for 3 inch I can get all the pipe and bends for around £150, just got to cut and shut, Rick
