Squeaky steering

Hi
My steering is squeaking, even when turning slowly. Plenty of p/s fluid but also have a squeak from o/s front suspension. Steering rack or other possibility?

Run it through a flood somewhere. Everthing will be dry after all that salt:doh on the roads. It could be ball joints or track rods dry

I have nice greasy steering stops,so not that. Happens even on the slightest turn.

I had a similar problem with my Frontera

the lower balll joints looked ok and would have passed an MOT but the squeek drove me made

good luck hope it helps

ps at the beginning it only did it under the weight of the car not when jacked up.

as it got worse it did it all the time, under load or jacked up

Definitely something to check,the squeak is there all the time and is annoying.

bushes? my mav squeaked when dry less so when wet- did arb bushes no squeak

Liam, are you sure the steering squeak is not the belts needing adjustment.

Update; squeaking stopped as weather in Ireland has returned to normal i.e. piddling rain so anything that was dry underneath now has the required amount of water and this seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for all the help,lads and lassies.:thumb2:thumb2
