squeaking noise when turning !!!!

Hi everyone

I.ve got a squeaking noise when i turn from full lock to full lock !! and when i bounce the pickup up and down !! It's getting quite load now lol

Yesterday it went for it's MOT and i thought it would fail on whatever the problem is but it sailed through :nenau in fact the noise has got worse since it.s MOT :doh

yeah they do need doing but thats not it mate !! The squeaking noise is when you turn the wheel. If the wheels are straight ahead and you only turn the wheel half a turn from side to side it squeaks !!!

would imply a problem with the power steering pump, or possible even the PS pump belt.....if you know where the pump is, spray a bit of WD40 on the belt there and see if that makes the noise go away...if it does, try changing the belt. Thats the cheapest place to start.....

Have you checked the fluid levels?They are marked for hot and cold. also look at the pipes near the front of the radiator as this is a common leakage point. Just cut and rejoin.

Thanks lads but thats all fine !! I've got underneath the pickup and pushed it up and down to make the suspension work and i think the squeak is coming from the bottom arm or maybe the ball joint !! how easy or hard are the bushes to change ?? Do you think it's worth a go
