Hi all, HOW EASY is it to change rear springs/ shocks on my T2 LWB.
What tools etc and how long a job if all goes well
CHEERS FOLKS.:thumb2 :bow

It's a doddle, trolley jack wheel brace/socket set, wd40 and some tea :D
Back wheels off , support axle and undo shocks, undo one end of panhard rod, lower axle, springs fall out, repeat in reverse with new bits :thumb2
Make new cuppa, simples

Hi, i don't want to hijack the post but what are the alternatives for the two inch suspension lift on the rear; lwb springs or spacers?

If i were to put lwb springs on will it make the ride harder?
If i were to put spring spacers on, where can i get them from?

On the front, if i were to wind the torsion bars up to meet the rear level will it effect the castor/ camber?

cheers
stephen

No probs but it's been answered a thousand times
LWB springs on the back of a swb give about 1 1/2" lift and get a bone shaker ride:confused:
Spring spacers will work but it's a cheat and doesnt give you full pressure on articulation. Should be findable via google :thumbs
Once torsions are wound up then camber will need resetting and check castor at the same time :thumbs
Don't forget that to benefit from LWB or longer springs, you'll need longer shocks too

Thanks for the reply.

Do i recall you saying you can supply longer springs and shocks?
If so how much are they?

Don't forget to support the weight of the vehicle off the chassis too :thumbs

why not just cut the sills out and put rock sliders in maybe im thinking of doing this with mine

I'm 3/4 through the job of taking off the standard "Fashion bars". Just the rear chassis brackets left.

I have been thinking of having some rock sliders made, but this would cure the hassle of having to mount these onto the chassis.

Hmmmm...
