Hi Guys, Dose anyone know where I can get a spotlight lightbar from ? I've got the Nissan soft A bar fitted to the front of my T2 & quiet like it  I was going to make one but got the hassle of getting it welded & i'm not sure if the front panel will hold the weight
The wife wants 4 spots about 6"-7" on the front

Sorry, which is this, is it a Polyguard? if so I'm also looking, and will probably have to have one made as I can't find one commercially.

Polyguard? :? It's made from a foam/rubber & when you press it, it's quiet soft. I've seen a few light bars on other 4x4's which are alloy/stainless tubes & bolt into the top of the bumper. I was even thinking of poss a H bar like the ones you used to get on the MK1&2 Escorts just not sure how to mount that to a T2 & if it would look right ?

hi i have, atleast when refit them a pair of 9" truck spot lights mounted thru the bumper.
under the plastic or what ever it is lerks metal. put fingers into gaps above number plate either side of virtical fins in there you'll feel it.

i drilled thru, then used large washers to spread the load of the bracket's nuts.

got idea from JonathanM as per his avator, and believe in gallery too.

mine are still off from having to remove grill when power washing rad.

oh mines in gallery, its the one that changes colour

Polyguard:

can be fitted to most makes and models, airbag, pedestrian and insurance company friendly.

No it's not like that .If you look at rbrt's T2 the gaurd comes alond the top of the bumper where the air intakes/vents are & go's down either side of the No plate.
Sorry if I've confuse any one

No problems, mine is only one i've ever seen, so was keen that if someone else had one we might get heads together over light bar.

Hope someone else can help you now

i know what you mean sweety, pretty rare too.

dont think anyone else has one here, or atleast pix of it, perhaps you could oblige.

thinking of escort spots presume you mean 2up 2 down rally type what would you do with number plate?

i toyed with going under existing lights but thought would compromise approach angle or more prone to damage.

big plus with the 9" is can just make out top of them to show where bumper and front of bonnet for parking is

I'm starting my triable graffix's tomorrow so when that done I'll pop a few pics on, well when I work out how to  :? I know what you mean about them being rare I've only seen one other T2 with one which had beed paited
Just been outside & it's raining hard so the 1st part of this may have to wait but I will get a pic of the A bar tomorrow for yous

I've got some smallish lights mounted directly onto the bumper - see my avatar as RBRT says.

As asked, I've posted a picture of my front A bar in the Gallery . Oh Mav has popped it hear for you's  As I said earlier I quiet like it as it add's a bit of depth to the front

its chunkier than i remember when last saw one, maybe theres another design.

btw another option for spots is slim line oblong units in gap above number plate. better still if matched by round 'uns above. what d'mean ott, its he who dies with the most bolt ons isn't it.

have you considered roof lights, shark1e has 4 oblongs on or under a roof rail, having previously had 4 round spot lights, fall guy style!

i really fancy them too but consious that need to get in multi store car parks, unless could get them really low profile or quick release.

The other T2 I seen with this type of A bar was the same, the depth is 2 1/2" so it could be the pic
Fall Guy god I remember that I wanted that truck when I was younger  No I still do

Well it looks like i'll be doing the same as you rbrt  I checked under the bumper & there is no metal on the under side, just across the front panel for the bumper to clip into :?
So hears my plan drill the bumper & mount the spots in the holes, then put 1 & 1/2" repair washers underneath to help spread the load. If I can get around the mumper clips on the front panel i'm going to make a T braket to fit both spots & then bolt it to front panel for a bit more straingth.
What do you think ?

sounds like a plan 8)

have you noticed what are classed as front fogs are brighter then dipped heads, also without a tell tale on dash, though rear fog has one?

not convinced of their worth in fog though wondered about tying into spot light relay. think ideally fogs should be lower mark one terrano2s had better idea. only prob with lower external fogs is more likely to damage off road unless slotted into scoop area under number plate.

I'm not putting fog lights on  Going to put a set of 7" SPOT lights on top of bumper like you have done

Sorry rbrt I'm having a brain dead moment  But you are right the little f fogs do give off a lot of light & I switch them on, on very quiet back roads for that little bit more light. Changing my headlight bulbs has made night driving better but not great. so i'm putting on the 7" spots
